Arby's Wagyu Steakhouse Burger Is Officially Coming Back

Arby's has pioneered many fast food innovations. The chain gambled with Hushpuppy Breaded Fish Strips,

Curly Fry Vodka, and Real Country Style Rib Sandwich, which rivals McDonald's McRib.

It's safe to say that Arby's most popular limited-time menu item will return. The chain's president Jim Taylor feels reviving the Wagyu

Steakhouse Burger is smart business. "It was the most successful LTO (limited-time offer) that we've ever done, relative to sales volume," Taylor adds. "Highest ever."

The first Arby's burger will return nationwide on Nov. 21. The beefy burger is 51% American Wagyu and 49% ground beef cooked sous-vide then flash-fried.

Arby's hadn't a grill like other fast-food burger establishments, so it had to get inventive. The short fry gives it a characteristic crust and sous-

vide preserves the juicy juices. Taylor serves the burger on a brioche bun with shredded lettuce, onions, pickles, tiny tomato slices

The May run sold out faster than expected, thus Arby's is bringing the burger back so soon.

"We had planned to have it in the restaurant six to eight weeks," Taylor explains. "We sold out in two weeks." Clearly, demand exists.

While the timing is good, Taylor implied that Arby's planned the burger's return from the moment it sold out. Late November was the chain's earliest return slot.
