Hot Dogs Were Just Spotted On Subways' Menu

According to a Facebook post The Takeout first reported on, a niche group member found hot dogs in a steamer tray on a Subway

production line at a Walmart in West Palm Beach, Florida. Seven hot dogs were in a steamer tray with deli meats, cheeses, and garnishes.

A Subway employee told The Takeout that a $3.99 value bundle includes a Nathan's Famous hot dog, a soft pretzel, and a beverage. 

Like many American fast food businesses, Subway has a universal layout and design, so you'll find the same ingredients and menu

virtually everywhere. Subways in Walmart stores have certain exceptions. Subway sells pretzels and pizzas in smaller franchises but not nationwide.

Sandwich restaurants have tested new menu items in niche places like Walmarts to attract customers and boost sales. Walmart stores have

struggled with decreasing foot traffic and revenues owing to pandemics, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Nathan's Famous also partnered with Ghost Kitchen Brands (GKB) in 2021 to open 60 non-traditional U.S. sites, including Walmart shops.
