Major Domestic Growth: Southwest Airlines Adds Several Routes
The Dallas-based airline announced many new US routes. Southwest Airlines surpassed 4,500 scheduled departures on October 26. These
new routes are part of its flight schedule extension through August 4, 2024. Flights from domestic hubs and foreign services are new.
Orlando International Airport, one of the airline's bases, will launch several additional routes. The world's largest low-cost carrier will launch multiple daily international routes on June 4, 2024.
The airline will travel to Cancun, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Nassau, Bahamas, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, Punta Cana, Dominican
Republic, and San Jose, Costa Rica. Southwest Airlines serves Aruba and Montego Bay from Orlando. The 17th route to Cancun will open in June next year.
Southwest Airlines' wide Hollywood Burbank Airport route network will grow on June 4, 2024. New daily services will serve Boise, Idaho, Kansas City, Missouri, New Orleans, Louisiana, San Antonio
Southwest Airlines will also start traveling between Colorado Springs Airport (COS) and Baltimore/Washington International Airport.
Another new route will start from the airline's home base in Dallas Love Field. Love Field now serves Buffalo/Niagara, Fresno, Providence, and Spokane.
Southwest Airlines will open a Nashville flight crew base in 2024. Additionally, the airline is adding Saturday-only and Saturday-and-Sunday services to Bozeman
