This Massive Chocolate Recall Was Just Expanded

Two Kinder items in the US were recalled lately, just before Easter. Ferrero voluntarily recalled the Happy Moments

Although no infections have been recorded in the U.S., numerous retailers' sweets were prepared in Belgium, where at least 142

European Salmonella cases were confirmed. More Kinder items from the plant were recalled in Europe. The company first stressed that these were the only two U.S.

"There may be Kinder branded products currently for sale in the U.S. that are intended for foreign markets and unauthorized at the U.S.,"

Kinder Surprise, Kinder Mini Eggs, Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g, and Kinder Schokobons—some of the brand's most popular products—may have been recalled in Europe.

Americans should verify their Kinder products to make sure they were distributed by Ferrero U.S.A. and are safe to eat. According to the FDA's news statement

If Kinder products sold in the US lack this description, Ferrero advises "dispose of it immediately." The chocolate maker is working with the FDA 

Don't only look for these chocolates on your next shopping excursion. This year, these two Easter items won't be in stores.
